Pilot research grant awardees report progress on projects

The Population Health Initiative awarded eight pilot research grants to faculty-led teams from 11 different UW schools and colleges in March 2018. The pilot research grants encourage new interdisciplinary collaborations among investigators for projects that address grand challenges the UW seeks to impact in population health. The Population Health Initiative has again partnered with CoMotion鈥檚 Innovation Fund to offer a $50,000 Population Health Innovation Award for the Fund鈥檚 spring 2019 round of funding. The 爱豆社区’s Natural Hazards Reconnaissance Experimental Facility launched earlier this fall with the goal of developing more resilient communities through the collection, assessment and archiving of high-quality perishable data in the aftermath of disasters. Applications are being accepted until January 14 for summer 2019 postings.
