INFORMATION ARE POISED TO TRANSFORM
COMPUTATION, COMMUNICATION AND
SENSING. IN THIS COURSE, STUDENTS
WILL HAVE HANDS ON ACCESS TO
QUANTUM HARDWARE TO EXPLORE
CONCEPTS INCLUDING QUBITS, QUBIT
CONTROL, SUPERPOSITION,
ENTANGLEMENT AND QUANTUM-SECURE
COMMUNICATION.
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF:
- INTRODUCTION/REVIEW OF THE
QUANTUM MECHANICS, QUANTUM
INFORMATION USING PYTHON-BASED
QUANTUM SOFTWARE (QUTIP AND
QISKIT).

PROGRAM. THE COURSE UTILIZES OPEN
SOURCE 180NM/130NM SKYWORKS CMOS
PROCESS THAT ALLOWS STUDENTS TO
TAPEOUT CHIPS FOR AS LITTLE AS $50.
COURSE WILL TARGET A TAPEOUT ON JUN
9TH FOR THE COURSE PROJECTS. COURSE
WILL FOCUS ON THE DESIGN AND LAYOUT
OF A CMOS CHIP THAT MAY CONTAIN
ANALOG, MIXED-SIGNAL AND/OR DIGITAL
CIRCUITS. ONLY A RUDIMENTARY
KNOWLEDGE OF (INTEGRATED) CIRCUITS
WILL BE REQUIRED. MORE EXPERIENCE I
BENEFICIAL, BUT NOT REQUIRED. CLASS
WILL RUN IN PARALLEL W/ EE 437, THE
CAPSTONE COURSE FOR THE INTEGRATED
