It鈥檚 midterms season, and in-between your study sessions I hope you鈥檒l find some time to get outside. Spring is one of the best seasons in Seattle, and for your mental and physical health.
Grab some friends or go solo to check out:
- The Waterfront Activities Center (aka the WAC) to rent kayaks and canoes
- The Burke-Gilman Trail
- The (a 30-minute walk, or take the 48 bus)
- Ravenna Park (also about a 30-minute walk, or take the 372 bus)

Report hazing with RealResponse
Great news: The UW has extended our partnership with RealResponse through 2031! RealResponse lets you report hazing anonymously by texting 206-203-3435. In the first year of our partnership, we鈥檝e seen increased reporting and greater efforts to hold organizations accountable and support impacted Huskies. RealResponse is funded by the Student Technology Fee.

Homecoming Scholar applications open
Apply to be a Homecoming Scholar! Each year, the UW Alumni Association honors eight exceptional students whose UW experiences exemplify Husky adaptability, tenacity and resolve. Homecoming Scholars are awarded a $5,000 scholarship and are recognized at the Homecoming football game in the fall.

Sign up for the annual Great Husky Race
EmBARK on a movement challenge this spring with your fellow Huskies: sign up for the ! This year鈥檚 race is an “expedition through the Pacific Northwest.” Individuals or teams of up to four can combine their daily miles to 鈥渢ravel鈥 from Spokane to La Push. During the race, you鈥檒l foster a sense of community at the UW with your team and other participating Huskies and learn some tips and tricks for nurturing your well-being.

Remember to take the NSSE
If you鈥檙e a first-year student or a senior, remember to take the National Survey of Student Engagement! The NSSE asks about your experiences at the UW to help us understand what鈥檚 working for our students and where we can improve. It鈥檚 open through May 11 and takes about 15 minutes to complete. Take the NSSE

Summer intern housing open
Interning in the Greater Seattle area this summer? Stay in UW Intern Housing! Enjoy free access to laundry, fitness and game rooms, and connect with a built-in community of fellow interns. Move in as soon as June 21. Open to students from any school interning in Seattle, so tell your friends!
