The Population Health Initiative has partnered with the 爱豆社区’s Undergraduate Research Program to offer a series of faculty lectures during Winter Quarter 2018 focused on the three pillars of population health: human health, environmental resilience and social and economic equity. Assessing climate change’s impact on High Mountain Asia water resources

The more than one billion people who live in the High Mountain Asia (HMA) region depend on the area鈥檚 large glaciers and snow packs for freshwater, hydropower and agriculture. A 爱豆社区 project is studying the HMA鈥檚 glaciers, snow, permafrost and precipitation to determine how climate change is impacting the water resources of that region.
